F1 E-sports China Championship

In 2019, Shanghai Juss Intellisports Ltd. signed an exclusive license agreement with Formula One Management to be able to operate the F1 e-sports series in China. The F1 E-sports China Championship became the first-ever regional F1 e-sports event in the world.

The qualifiers for the 2019 F1 E-sports China Championship were held in the four major regions of North China, East China, South China, and Midwest China respectively. The grand final was staged in Shanghai Xujiahui Sports Park from January 4th to 5th, 2020.

The F1 E-sports China Championship became more professional in the 2020 season. The Championship structure has been extended to three levels of major competition systems including the professional league (top-level), the development league (mid-level), and the individual challenge (entry-level). Due to the pandemic, most of the competitions during the season were held online, however, through the formulation of a meticulous epidemic prevention plan, the 2020 national grand finals were successfully held offline in Shanghai Pudong Multi-Media Center on January 16-17, 2021.

The F1 E-sports China Championship became the first esports event in China that was allowed to broadcast its live competition on TV in the 2020 season. The championship's live streaming was shown by the Great Sports TV Channel. The audience was also able to watch live streaming on popular new media platforms such as Douyu, China Sports, Game Fengyun, etc. The exploration of live broadcast platforms is becoming more and more diversified. The number of viewers has increased significantly, and it has won the love of many F1 fans. The 2020 F1 E-sports China Championship has attracted about 53 million viewers, more than double the number of viewers in 2019.The 2020 season of the Individual Challenge was held online and has attracted nearly 50,000 participants, an increase of nearly five times compared to 2019.

Since its inception two years ago, the F1 E-sports China Championship has been recognized and praised by all sectors of the community for its top-tier event IP, first-class racing service, and quality participation experience. The championship has developed a new model of online tournaments, continuously improved its own level of operation, expanded influence of the tournament, created a brand event, reaped a good reputation of the championship brand, and created new brand benefits. The successful holding of the championship for two consecutive years has not only broadened the form of motorsport participation and enriched the way of motorsport appreciation, but also played a great role in promoting the popularity and promotion of motorsport in China.

In 2020, the F1 E-sports China Championship was awarded the 'Best Sports E-Sports Event of the Year'.

The 2021 F1 E-sports China Championship starts on May 1st (the complete season calendar has been released). The championship has set an overwhelming 2 million RMB seasonal total prize for the top teams and pilots to share, which sets the new-high in the field of 'sports e-sports' competitions category in China.
